Deep cuts, injuries and burns requiring specialist treatment
Cuts to the face and hand carry a higher risk of poor scarring, nerve injury, and functional compromise than lacerations elsewhere. Prompt assessment by a plastic surgeon allows for careful tissue handling, layered closure, and attention to underlying structures such as tendons and nerves. We also assess and manage burns to the face, hands, and other functionally important areas, including dressing management and skin grafting where required.

Cysts, lipomas, moles, skin cancer, abscesses, hand conditions and scars
Many skin and soft tissue conditions can be assessed and treated in a single visit under local anaesthesia, without the need for hospital admission or a general anaesthetic. At Doctor Stitch, minor surgery is performed by a plastic surgeon - meaning cosmetic closure, complete excision, and appropriate specimen handling are standard rather than optional. We treat cysts and lipomas, suspicious and cancerous skin lesions, moles and skin tags, facial and hand abscesses, ingrown nails, trigger finger, ganglion cysts, other common hand conditions and scars.

Cosmetic Stitch Removal
Specialist removal with microsurgical precision to protect your results
Stitch removal after cosmetic surgery is a precision procedure. Sutures left too long cause track marks; those removed too early risk wound dehiscence. At Doctor Stitch, removal is performed by a plastic surgeon with an understanding of wound healing, scar maturation, and the specific closure techniques used in cosmetic surgery internationally. Cosmetic stitch removal in Singapore is commonly required after surgery performed overseas or at another local provider. Scar advice and early scar management guidance are provided at the same appointment where relevant.

Why Doctor Stitch
​​​Doctor Stitch in Singapore is led by Dr Ng Zhi Yang, a dual-accredited plastic surgeon in the UK (FRCS (Plast), CCT) and Singapore (SAB, MOH). He also holds European Board certification in plastic surgery and hand surgery, and completed postdoctoral research at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School for which he was awarded a PhD from the University of Glasgow. He has 65 peer-reviewed publications to date and has received multiple international awards for his research in plastic surgery including from ISAPS, BAAPS, BAPRAS, BSSH, RCPSG, FESSH and ASPS.
